In the above paper, an important statement was omitted from the legend to Figure 2B. The missing statement, which should appear at the end of the legend to Figure 2B, is as follows:
Fold uptake was normalized separately for each of the three indicated cell types by comparison of bacterial internalization in the absence or presence of STI571. On average, uptake of S.flexneri 2457T by the Null cells was ∼5-fold lower than that by the Abl/Arg cells when normalization was performed across cell types.
