Angiotensin peptides in the uteroplacental unit of normal pregnant (SD) and pregnant transgenics resulting from the mating of female hAGN × male hRen (preeclamptic model) and the reverse mating (RM). Ang I and Ang II are significantly increased in both the mesometrial triangle (MT) and placenta (Pla) in the preeclamptic model as compared to SD. In the RM, Ang II is increased in the Pla, but not the MT. Ang II is significantly higher in the MT of the preeclamptic vs the RM.
