Change of compressive modulus of constructs during the degradation process, described as a percent of the compressive modulus of the degraded construct over that of the non-degraded construct: the decline of compressive mechanical properties of the cylindrical constructs (10 mm in diameter, 6 mm in height), whose dimension was designed for a mandibular defect model in rabbits, provided predictive insight into the expected mechanical performance of the construct over time in vivo.
