Volume 82, no. 19, p. 9657-9667, 2008. Page 9659, legend to Fig. 1. Figure 1A, top panel: The original gel used to generate Fig. 1A contained 15 lanes. Of these 15 lanes, only 7 were used for this figure. Lanes 1, 3, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 were not used in the figure. Then, lane 9 from the original image was placed between lanes 2 and 4.

Figure 1A, bottom panel: This figure was generated after stripping and reprobing the same blot as described above. Of the 15 original lanes in the gel, only 4 were used for this figure. Lanes, 1, 3, and 6 to 15 were not used in the figure. Then lane 9 from the original image was placed between lanes 2 and 4.

Figure 1B: The original gel used to generate this figure had 15 lanes of which only 7 were loaded with either samples or markers. Of these 7 lanes, only 3 were used for this figure. Lanes 1, 3, 4, and 5 were not used in this figure. Then lane 2 from the original image was placed in front of lane 6. Note that the “blank” lane is included in the figure.
