DNA concentration dependence of in vivo electroporation. Zebrafish embryos were electroporated at 24 hpf with different concentrations of DNA in the injection pipet. The percentage of embryos expressing GFP was determined 24 h after electroporation, and the mean percentage of embryos expressing GFP was plotted as a function of DNA concentration in the injection pipet. Embryos were considered positive if at least 10 cells with neuronal morphology were expressing GFP; however, the vast majority of positive embryos had 100-plus cells showing fluorescence. Error bars display standard deviation (n = 4–6).
