Former general practitioner Blaenavon, Torfaen, south Wales (b 1933; q Welsh School of Medicine 1959), died from coronary artery thrombosis on 27 January 2003.

Brian worked as a full time GP partner in Blaenavon until his retirement in 1994, after which he did locum work. He leaves a wife, Margaret, and two sons.
