(a) Microfabricated electrodes on a glass slide. Electrode (dark) width and the gap (white) between two oppositely charged electrodes are 20 μm. Square patterns has 60×60 μm2 inner area. (b) Schematics of the microfluidic chamber (side-view). Electrodes are fabricated on a microscope slide glass. A microfluidic chamber is constructed using PDMS spacers at various heights (red) and a fluidic system is constructed by covering the enclosure via a cover glass. An inverted microscope with a CCD camera is used for observations.
