In Figs. 2e, 2f on p. 1691, the frequencies and growth rates were inadvertently plotted as a function of the flow velocity at the minimum glottal constriction (z=1.0), rather than the jet velocity at the flow separation point (z=1.2). The two velocities in this case were related by a constant factor g∕(D+g). The correct version of Fig. 2, with the frequencies and growth rates plotted as a function of the jet velocity in Figs. 2e, 2f, is printed below.
