The number of snout-touch was counted when sham, acute whisker removal, and F.A. rats were put into a new environment (A). Results of one-way ANOVA analysis show a significant group effect (F(2,16) = 9.11 , p = 0.002). Post-hoc Scheffe test revealed that both Acute whisker removal and F.A. rats have more snout-touch counts than SHAM rats (*p = 0.015 and **0.005, respectively), but no significant difference between the Acute whisker removal and F.A. rats.
