Re:JSLS 2004;8:9–14 Octylcyanoacrylate Skin Closure in Laparoscopy
The scientific paper “Octylcyanoacrylate Skin Closure in Laparoscopy” by Michael J. Sebesta, MD, and Jay T. Bishoff, MD published in the January–March 2004 issue of JSLS1 was also published in the Journal of Endourology in December 2003.2
On investigation, there appears to have been a breakdown in communication between the authors and their staff that resulted in confusion regarding which of the journals they had corresponded with before and after one of the authors' deployment to Iraq. The senior author has accepted responsibility for the errors on their part and has instituted measures to ensure that this does not occur in the future.
