Spliceoforms that were predicted to exist by the Splicing Index algorithm applied to the pancreatic cancer cell lines were analyzed by RT-PCR in normal pancreas (NP*), isolated ductal cells from normal pancreas (NP#), adjacent normal pancreatic tissue (Adj. Nor.), and grade 3 and 4 primary pancreatic carcinomas, as well as the pancreatic cancer cell lines HPDE6 (H), Capan1 (C), and MiaPaCa2 (M). This supported the presence of the predicted spliceoforms in patient samples.
