Mean ± SEM of kcal consumed of LCD and HCD following saline or ghrelin IV injection in dominant and subordinate animals hourly during the four-hour ghrelin challenge. There was no effect of hour on these data (p > 0.05). Figure 2 displays the effects of ghrelin on cumulative food intake in dominant and subordinate animals over four hours.
