The relative ability of the CD56+/CD14 and the CD56/CD14 subpopulations of lymphocytes to express IFN-γ and IL-8 was measured by ELISA. Human lymphocytes were isolated from PBMCs after CD14 depletion, and 5 × 106 cells were stimulated with rIL-12 (10 ng/mL) and rIL-18 (10 ng/mL) for 6 hours and 24 hours. The cell supernatants were analyzed for IFN-γ and IL-8 release. Values are mean ± SD for 2 experiments.

ND indicates not detected.
