Experimental & Clinical Cardiology: A rebirth

Pulsus Group Inc has been in the business of publishing cardiology journals for some time. The first cardiology journal, The Canadian Journal of Cardiology, was launched in 1985, 26 years ago. The second, Experimental & Clinical Cardiology, is now in its 16th volume.

With the sale of The Canadian Journal of Cardiology to the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the Experimental & Clinical Cardiology journal has become the primary Pulsus cardiology journal. Significant effort will be made to promote the Journal around the world and, in keeping with this, you will notice the new cover design, projecting the Journal’s rightful place among Pulsus Group’s stable of successful publications.

In addition to traditional manuscript publication, Experimental & Clinical Cardiology has always been published online. Recently, to accommodate the ever-increasing number of high-quality papers, the Journal has been published in its entirety online, with article summaries and selected papers published in print – a hybrid model that is becoming increasingly popular.

This Journal has served legions of authors, both from English and non-English speaking countries, providing an outlet for first-class cardiovascular research papers. Pulsus editors will continue to provide their excellent service, improving the manuscripts, especially those that are scientifically sound, but lacking in English grammar and clarity. Because the non-English world is catching up to or surpassing the English-speaking countries in the number of submissions, there is a consequent increase in submitted papers that need this improvement. Not just in the case of Pulsus journals, but elsewhere as well.

To satisfy this need, Pulsus Group Inc has introduced a new service, PulsusEdit, providing assistance in this area. It is a service developed to provide scientific editing assistance to authors in all medical disciplines and, accordingly, affording their manuscripts a greater chance of being accepted for publication. It also includes the customized modifications according to Instructions to Authors of the journal of your choice. Submissions are completed by highly experienced native English-speaking editors offering basic, comprehensive or total rewrite levels of editing for reasonable rates and in a timely manner. The PulsusEdit website is being developed and will be operational before the end of April.

Under the leadership of Prof. Ostadal and his Editorial Board, Experimental & Clinical Cardiology has thrived for 16 years and it will continue to do so. But our objective is to have this Journal secure a position among the top international cardiology journals. We want to work with you, the authors, to achieve this. Send us your best work and we will commit to a speedy peer-review process – and publishing accepted material quickly. Let’s be in the top 20 by the time this Journal is 20.
