Binding of CMP1 gp46 to single-stranded circular M13mp18 DNA (7249 bases). Gp46 was purified to near homogeneity by Ni-NTA chromatography. The purified protein had a concentration of about 1.5 mg/ml. M13 DNA was incubated with purified gp46. Reaction conditions were: 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 10 mM MgCl₂, 1 mM DTT, 30 min at room temperature. 1% agarose gel.
