General practitioner Bierfield, Nelson, Lancashire (b 1957; q Galway 1981; MRCGP), died from cancer on 29 October 2003.
Ursula trained in Ireland before coming to Manchester in 1986 to complete her general practice training. She became a full time principal in 1986. In 2000 she obtained her diploma in dermatology and went on to set up an intermediate care clinic in dermatology for primary care. In 1999 she became an undergraduate tutor for the University of Manchester. She leaves a husband, Roger.
