PHYSIOLOGY Correction for “Myeloid-specific estrogen receptor α deficiency impairs metabolic homeostasis and accelerates atherosclerotic lesion development,” by Vicent Ribas, Brian G. Drew, Jamie A. Le, Teo Soleymani, Pedram Daraei, Daniel Sitz, Laila Mohammad, Darren C. Henstridge, Mark A. Febbraio, Sylvia C. Hewitt, Kenneth S. Korach, Steven J. Bensinger, and Andrea L. Hevener, which appeared in issue 39, September 27, 2011, of Proc Natl Acad Sci USA (108:16457–16462; first published September 7, 2011; 10.1073/pnas.1104533108).

The authors note that the following text for Figs. 1, 2, and 3 should be added to their respective legends: “Analyses were performed using SPSS statistical software, and all values contained in the main text and Supporting Information are expressed as means ± SEM. Differences between mean values were examined by analysis of variance (ANOVA) or Student’s t test when appropriate. Significance was established a priori P < 0.05 for between or within group or treatment comparisons as indicated, * or 1.” These corrections do not affect the conclusions of the article.
