The CUA exists to promote the highest standard of urologic care for Canadians and to advance the art and science of urology.

After a very productive Winter Executive Meeting in Montreal (end of January 2012), it was announced that we had received 333 abstracts for the 2010 Annual Meeting! This was wonderful news and it beat our record from last year (304). With a robust program in hand and an impressive array of speakers, we are gearing up for an exciting Annual Meeting in Banff!

For the first-time, the CUA is also excited to welcome delegates from the European Association of Urology as part of the EAU-CUA Scholarship Program. The EAU-CUA Scholarship Program was established in 2011 to encourage collaboration and interchange of urological skills, expertise and knowledge between Europe and Canada with a particular emphasis on young academic urologists. Our Canadian contingent went to Europe in March 2011 and the Europeans will come to Canada this year. They will be visiting the following centres: Dalhousie University, University of Montreal, University of Toronto, UBC and the University of Alberta). They will end their Canadian visit with the 2012 CUA Meeting in Banff. The EAU, with generous support from Astra Zeneca, has taken responsibility for all financial aspects of this exchange which we acknowledge with gratitude.

Also, for the first time, the CUA Fun Night will be held on Sunday, June 24. Eat, dance and relive the Golden Age of the Canadian Rockies at the grandiose Banff Springs Hotel, while the Livin’ in Swing band takes you back in time!.

Early registration ends on April 30, 2012 – get in early and book your dates! www.cuameeting.org
