On behalf of the European Society of Neuroradiology, I would like to invite you warmly to the 1st Interventional Advanced Course of the ESNR, which will be held in Auditorium Maximum of Jagiellonian University in Cracow, on 18th September, 2008.

For the first time there will be two Advanced Courses during annual ESNR Meeting. Several months ago the Board of our Society proposed me to organize, apart from traditional diagnostic Advanced Course, which had been already prepared, the additional Advanced Course devoted to interventional neuroradiology. In short time we prepared the program of the Course, which in my opinion will be very interesting to the participants. I would like to thank very much President of the ESNR, Prof. Martin Schumacher and Chairman of ESNR Interventional Neuroradiology Subcommittee, Prof. Serge Bracard, for their help preparing program and especially for attracting outstanding lecturers.

The 1st Interventional Advanced Course "Acute Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage" is devoted to advanced interventional therapy of bleeding aneurysms. The first part of the Course contains lectures of neurosurgeon and neuroanesthesiologist as well as diagnostic and pathological considerations. The second part is devoted to the most advanced techniques of the endovascular treatment of the aneurysms. The Course will end with a panel discussion of the interventional neuroradiologists concerning the organization of SAH aneurysmal care in different countries.

I am sure that the Advanced Course "Acute Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage" will provide the participants the most updated knowledge about this very important topic.

I believe that Interventional Advanced Courses will become a new tradition of our Society. I think it is necessary because of the rapid development of interventional neuroradiology, which is also expressed by the great number of interventional presentations during the XXXIIIrd Congress of ESNR.

Again, I invite all of you very warmly to the 1st interventional Course of ESNR.
