Abstract
In this paper the author describes heart in relation to its various aspects and of cardiac tonics as found in Ancient Indian literature. This enables the learned scholars and scientists to appraise themselves of some historical facts. clinical exactness and mode of therapy and indigenous drugs advocated by our fore-fathers, which still deserve respectful consideration by true scientists. The descriptive list of books mentioned in the article dates back between 5000 B. C. and 1500 A. D.
