CCR2 deficient (CCR2 −/−) or wild-type (WT) mice were fed an isocaloric pair-fed diet or 5% alcohol-containing Leiber-DeCarli diet for 6 weeks and (A) serum ALT analyzed *p<0.002, n=12 compared to pair-fed controls, (B) liver sections were fixed in formalin and stained with hematoxylin-eosin; magnification 100X and (C) Liver triglycerides (mg/g liver tissue) measured * p<0.02 compared to pair-fed control n=12.
