WELCOME TO THE MARITIMES! TIME AND TIDES AWAIT YOU!
What special events is the Halifax Organizing Committee planning for delegates and their families? Will there be lobster and Maritime music?
This year's CVMA Convention will have something of interest for the entire family. If golfing is your passion, then play at one of the top courses in Atlantic Canada. The Glen Arbour Golf Club will certainly challenge even the most seasoned golfer. Join us for the Meet and Greet while renewing old friendships or making new friends. A trip to the Maritimes would not be complete without a lobster dinner. The entire family will enjoy the Ultimate Lobster Dinner at Pier 22 with excellent food and Maritime music. And don't forget about the popular Merial Reception. The preteen, teen, and companion programs will round out the extensive social activities.
What makes Halifax and Nova Scotia good convention and holiday destinations?
Halifax has always been a preferred destination for CVMA delegates. Historic landmarks, a Maritime setting, excellent shopping, and fabulous weather all add to the charm of the capital city. Extend your visit to cover Lunenburg and Chester, or travel to legendary Cape Breton and follow the Cabot Trail. Nova Scotia has lots to offer. Take the time to indulge yourself!
What is unique or special about the scientific program?
Dr. Peter Fretz has done a fabulous job developing the scientific program. The small animal program includes seminars in alternative therapies, oncology, and dentistry. The large animal program has subjects of interest in equine, bovine, and swine medicine; it also includes a comprehensive panel discussion, with particular emphasis on broadening your knowledge base on the subject of the prudent use of antibiotics.
Join us this summer in Halifax. Be a part of 3 full days of excellent continuing education, and loads of fun as well!
The Program and Registration Guide (including a registration form for online or facsimile transmission) is now available on the CVMA Web site at www.canadianveterinarians.net, or contact the CVMA at 1-800-567-2862 or (613) 236-1162 ext. 23, by fax at (613) 236-9681, or by e-mail at admin@cvma-acmv.org for a copy.
See you in Halifax!
