Over the years, Ochsner's Graduate Medical Education Graduation programs have been honored by many outstanding speakers representing the leadership of American medical education. Some of our speakers represented the academic leadership of our institutions, others were chosen because of their academic responsibilities at fellow institutions. Still others have been the leaders in the academic, investigative, and educational fields. By their accepting our invitation to speak at our commencement programs, we have had the opportunity to present Ochsner's academic programs at their very best to these individuals and to American medical education.
The Table presents is a list of each of the speakers and the institutions that they represented. At each program, a certificate attesting to the completion of the house officer's training requirements is presented and special awards honoring academic accomplishments of our outstanding trainees are presented, some commemorating the academic contributions of Ochsner's earlier leaders.
