Looking for a way to promote your profession, your practice, and the importance of animal health care? If so, the CVMA is here to help! As you know, Animal Health Week (AHW) is a national public awareness campaign organized by the CVMA and hosted by veterinarians across Canada.
The AHW campaign provides veterinarians working in all capacities with an opportunity to show how much they care. Veterinarians can do this by promoting responsible animal ownership and the importance of proper animal health care to animal owners in their communities.
To assist in your AHW activities, the CVMA, along with its valued campaign sponsors Hill's Pet Nutrition, Merial Canada, Iams, Pet Plan Insurance, Scotiabank, and the CVMA Pet Food Certification Program, is pleased to provide 7 handy promotional items, including posters, coloring books, T-shirts, and temporary tattoos! The newest items for the 2003 campaign are colorful pet bandanas and pens imprinted with the AHW slogan “V is for Veterinarian.” These fun, inexpensive items are bound to be a hit with clients and even the clinic staff!
There's still time to place your AHW order, EARLY! This year, one lucky clinic will be given the opportunity to celebrate AHW in style. Orders received before the early bird deadline of July 15th will be eligible to win a beautiful, mounted AHW poster, courtesy of the poster sponsors, Hill's Pet Nutrition and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. The official deadline to place an AHW order is July 21st.
Be sure to plan now for a fun fall AHW celebration! For more information on how you can get involved, contact Janice Mercer, Manager, Communications at 1-800-567-2862, extension 19 or by e-mail (jmercer@cvma-acmv.org).
