Pfizer furthers commitment to animal health industry with Pharmacia purchase
Pfizer has closed the agreement to purchase Pharmacia Animal Health, sending a clear message to the Canadian animal health industry that the company is committed to being a leading innovator in the industry. The purchase has now received all necessary approvals in Canada.
“The addition of Pharmacia will greatly enhance and complement Pfizer's current portfolio, providing the industry with even better product solutions and service,” says Don Sauder, Division Director, Pfizer Canada Animal Health Group, of the purchase.
Now that the necessary Canadian approvals have been received, Pfizer and Pharmacia can move forward with plans to integrate sales, marketing, and research. Pfizer Canada expects full integration of all products and services by the summer of 2003.
