Abstract

This paper is the second of three describing a two-fluid theory of binary liquid mixtures. The general theory presented in the preceding paper is used to derive a model for calculating thermodynamic properties of hard-sphere mixtures. Calculations indicate that desirable boundary conditions are satisfied.

Keywords: statistical thermodynamics, fluids, phase equilibria, molecular size ratio, hard spheres
