Correction

The Case Report entitled “Corticosteroids in the Treatment of Alcohol-Induced Rhabdomyolysis,” published in the October 2011 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings (Mayo Clin Proc. 2011;86(10):1005-1007), contained multiple errors that may have affected the manuscript's conclusions and the application of the information to other patients. The details of the various errors are identified in a Letter-to-the-Editor in this August 2012 issue of the Proceedings (Mayo Clin Proc. 2012;87(8):803). The letter, authored by Chayan Chakraborti, MD, and James W. Antoon, PhD (the authors of the earlier case report), is entitled, “Incomplete Reporting in a Case Report of Corticosteroids in the Treatment of Alcohol-Induced Rhabdomyolysis.”
