Plasmids in Yersinia pestis.

Abstract

Pesticinogenic and Ca2+-dependent strains of Yersinia pestis harbored plasmids of about 6 and 45 megadaltons, respectively. In addition, most isolates examined possessed a cryptic 65-megadalton plasmid.
