Paris and London consultants 1815

Jeremy Hugh Baron 1
PMCID: PMC351882

The French physicians and surgeons display a degree of attention and zeal in the execution of their duties truly exemplary. Their public professional duties are ever the primary consideration, for which the trifling salary they receive is a pitiful remuneration while in the London hospitals, it is too evident that public appointments are generally considered but the stepping stones to practice and private emolument.
