Colicinogeny of Escherichia coli MRE 600

Abstract

Escherichia coli MRE 600 is a colicinogenic bacterium. Its colicinogenic activity may be ascribed mostly to colicin E1, although it produces a small amount of another, as yet unidentified, colicin.
