Erratum

An error occurred in an article published in JAMIA in 1997 (Tetzlaff L. Consumer informatics in chronic illness. J Am Med Inform Assoc. 1997;4:285-300). The word “broviac” was inadvertently used inappropriately in that the authors and JAMIA did not indicate that BROVIAC is a registered trademark of C. R. Bard, Inc. (Murray Hill, NJ) and its related company, BCR, Inc. (Wilmington, DE).
