Gene A Protein of Bacteriophage S13 Is Required for Single-Stranded DNA Synthesis

Abstract

The product of gene A of the small icosahedral DNA phage S13 has been found to be needed for single-stranded DNA synthesis in vivo in addition to its previously known role in progeny replicative-form DNA synthesis.
