Correction

PMCID: PMC3559216

In the first issue of BioResearch Open Access (2012; vol. 1, no. 1: 34–40), the article “Permeability of Three-Dimensional Fibrin Constructs Corresponds to Fibrinogen and Thrombin Concentrations” by Chiu et al.1 requires four corrections:

On page 37, under the heading “Dextran particles flow through 3D fibrin construct”, the penultimate sentence of the paragraph should read, “Each sample was placed in an opaque 96-well plate to prevent light from reaching Dextran particles.”

On page 38, in the second paragraph of the right column, in the first sentence, the phrase “estimated to be” should be deleted so the sentence reads, “The calculated radius for the fibrin samples with 8 mg/mL fibrinogen is ∼6.957 μm.” The last sentence should read, “Bubbles in Figure 3 show predicted average pore size (in microns).” Likewise, in the legend to Figure 3, the second sentence should read, “Bubble shows corresponding predicted average pore size (in microns).”

The online version of the article has been corrected to reflect these changes.

The authors sincerely regret these errors.
