Correction to ‘To concentrate or ventilate? Carbon acquisition, isotope discrimination and physiological ecology of early land plant life forms’

Units for conductance (internal conductance, g_int, and external liquid-phase conductance, g_liq) were erroneously shown as (micro) µmol m⁻² s⁻¹. They should read (milli) mmol m⁻² s⁻¹ instead, throughout the text. This error appears in table 2 (header of columns 1 and 3), and in the results section at the bottom of page 2773 (left column lines 6–7, right column line 3). Conductance value on page 2773 right column line 4 had the correct units.

Another typographical error was made in the numerator of equation (2.1) on page 2770. The correct formula should read as

These errors do not affect the discussion and conclusions drawn in the paper.
