Many thanks for your interest in our article. I agree entirely that the UK population needs to engage in a debate about organ donation and organ transplantation. I am just not sure that presumed consent legislation is the best means to start that debate. There is a serious risk that if handled badly or even if the UK press takes a dislike to government meddling then we could make the situation a whole lot worse and it would have cost us a lot of money to achieve nothing.
