Focused issue on video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)
This state-of-the-art issue on the techniques and outcomes of Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) is dedicated to the first world meeting on uniportal VATS in Naples. Our guest editor for this issue is Professor Gaetano Rocco, Director of Department of Thoracic Surgery and Oncology, Chief of Division of Thoracic Surgery, National Cancer Institute, Pascale Foundation, Italy. This special issue, to be published in August 2013 issue of JTD, will serve as a great platform for academic communication between VATS experts worldwide by displaying featured articles contributed by key experts in this field. This special issue dedicated to improving management and treatment on breast cancer in young woman will provide up-to-date knowledge on imaging, genetic, surgical aspects of breast cancer in young women and address the challenges in managing breast cancer during pregnancy focusing on key opinions from renowned experts worldwide in related fields.
