On 26–27 November 2011, ISMuLT held its first annual congress at the New Convention Center within the Campus of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (http://www.campusx.it). Indeed, the New Convention Center opened with the ISMuLT Congress!
Over one and a half day, we had 300 participants, with 63 talks, non-Italian speakers from 6 countries, and home speakers from 13 Italian towns.
ISMuLT was officially launched, and 160 members signed up.
All this thanks to our 18 sponsors.
We organized 2 workshops with our two golden sponsor (AGAVE “Tendinopathy: State of the Art and Prospectives”-TSME “Research and Innovation: Shock Wave Application for diamagnetic”).
Participants in the Congress received the free book “Tendinopathy Guidelines”, sponsored by Agave.
This issue MLTJ, in addition to the usual manuscripts, hosts its First Supplement, which contains the Abstracts of the 1st Congress of ISMuLT.
The large crowds, the high scientific value of the speakers, the continuing attention of the audience toward the issues discussed, rewarded the executive board of all the pains and tribulations of organizing the congress.

At the congress, we realised that ISMuLT was a great success: with even more enthusiasm than when we started, we invite everyone to the 2 Congress to be held in Naples on 30 November and 1 December, 2012.
