Reversed TAM-resistance in breast cancer by delivery of MnSOD siRNA encapsulated in (siRNA/PAMAM)-PK NPs. MnSOD-mediated conversion of TAM-generated superoxide to hydrogen peroxide is blocked when MnSOD siRNA is released into the cytoplasm from the stimuli-responsive core-shell NPs, resulting in enhanced apoptosis of TAM-resistant breast cancer cells.
