In our published study, several calculations reported in the Abstract, Results, and Discussion sections are incorrect. In the Abstract, the last sentence should report that sonication increased the sensitivity of intraoperative cultures from 45% to 82%, rather than 36% to 82%. In the second paragraph of the Results section, the sensitivity and specificity for standard cultures should be reported as 45% and 82%, respectively. The specificity of sonication cultures performed at the time of second-stage revision was incorrect and should be 64%. If we considered only significant or intermediate growth as positive, the sensitivity should decrease to 64%, and the specificity should improve to 92%. In the second to the last paragraph in the Discussion section, the sensitivity of standard intraoperative cultures should be 45%.

The authors apologize for these errors.
