Scientific Reports 4, Article number: 3866 10.1038/srep03866 (2014); Published: January292014; Updated: June272014

The original version of this Article contained typographical errors in the Abstract and Discussion sections.

In the Abstract: “however elderly patients (>60 years) exhibited a more malignant pathological grade if they were homozygous for the C allele” should read “however younger patients (<60 years) exhibited a more malignant pathological T grade if they were homozygous for the C allele”.

In the Discussion: “However, elder patients would suffer more malignant pathologic grade if they were FasL -844 CC carriers” should read “However, younger patients would suffer more malignant pathologic T grade if they were FasL -844 CC carriers”.

These have now been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of this Article.
