Page 1986, column 1, paragraph 5, lines 7 to 10: “For the PowerMax soil DNA isolation kit, the sediment was vigorously shaken with autoclaved metal beads (5 mm in diameter) using a Shake Master auto (Bio Medical Science, Tokyo, Japan) operated at 1,500 rpm for 10 min.” should read “For the PowerMax soil DNA isolation kit, the sediment (2 g) was vigorously shaken with an additional two autoclaved metal beads (5 mm in diameter) using a Shake Master auto (Bio Medical Science, Tokyo, Japan) operated at 1,100 rpm for 10 min.”
