The article published on page 1345-6, Vol. 4, 2013 issue of International Journal of Preventive Medicine[1] was later retracted[2]. However, the reason for the retraction was not made clear in the previously published notice. The correct reason for retraction is as follows:
The author's institution requested the retraction of the article due to concerns over significant overlap of content with an earlier manuscript entitled, “Trends in mortality from Ischemic Heart Disease, Stroke and Stomach cancer: From Past to Future” by the same author.
