Opsonophagocytic killing of ESBL-producing strain K. pneumoniae 1437 (a), K. pneumoniae 1436 (b), E. coli 4263 (c), and carbapenem-resistant P. aeruginosa 2790 (d). Opsonophagocytic assay was performed as described by Theilacker et al. using baby rabbit serum as complement source. IVIG preparations show significant opsonic killing against both K. pneumoniae strains. Higher killing against E. coli and P. aeruginosa was observed using Pentaglobin in comparison to Intraglobin. Killing is measured at dilutions of 1:10, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200 and 1:500. Killing was dose dependent with both immunoglobulin preparations
