This research was started at the Herbert Jones Laboratory at the University of Chicago in 1932, and continued at the Department of Botany at the University of Minnesota from September, 1936. The absorption curves in the visible region for the mentioned carotenoids have been published in the Botanical Gazette and Plant Physiology.
