In the article “Platelet-rich plasma in periodontal defect treatment after extraction of impacted mandibular third molars” which appeared in page 139-34, Vol 3, Jul-Dec 2012 issue of National Journal of Maxillofacial Surgery[1], it has been found that the article contains duplicity of text as well as X-Ray images from a previously published article, entitled, entitled “Use of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in periodontal defect treatment after extraction of impacted mandibular third molars”[2] by author Dr. Sammartino, in Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The author has accepted the mistake and has taken full responsibility of the same. The current article is therefore being retracted.
