PLANT BIOLOGY Correction for “Integration of responses within and across Arabidopsis natural accessions uncovers loci controlling root systems architecture,” by Ulises Rosas, Angelica Cibrian-Jaramillo, Daniela Ristova, Joshua A. Banta, Miriam L. Gifford, Angela Huihui Fan, Royce W. Zhou, Grace Jaeyoon Kim, Gabriel Krouk, Kenneth D. Birnbaum, Michael D. Purugganan, and Gloria M. Coruzzi, which appeared in issue 37, September 10, 2013, of Proc Natl Acad Sci USA (110:15133–15138; first published August 26, 2013; 10.1073/pnas.1305883110).
The authors wish to retract the following statement in the paragraph beginning on page 15135 and ending on page 15136, lines 10–14: “Furthermore, the SNP is nonsynonymous; a cytosine at that position codes for histidine, whereas a thymine at that position codes for tyrosine. Histidine is a basic amino acid and tyrosine is an aromatic amino acid, however, the physiological ramifications of this nonsynonymous change are not clear.” The authors note: “This SNP in PHO1 (Chr3:8388425) is a synonymous polymorphism.” This error does not affect the conclusions of the article.
