Published DNA profiling data identified the HES uterine epithelial cell line as misidentified Hela cervical cancer cells (Korch et al. Gynecol Oncol. 2012;127(1):241-248). We cannot exclude that the cells used in this article are a Hela contamination and therefore advise caution in the interpretation of the reported data.
