The book "Androgen Deficiency and Testosterone Replacement: Current Controversies and Strategies" edited by Wayne J. G. Hellstrom consists of 11 chapters with 25 contributing authors from the field of late-onset male hypogonadism.

Recently, a number of evolving concepts and management strategies have appeared in this field. The aim of this book is to provide clinicians and researchers with the newest information about androgen deficiency and testosterone replacement therapy, and one of the strengths of this book is that it is based on the most recently published practice guidelines.

This book is filled with ample evidence about the diagnosis and treatment of men with low testosterone, and readers can also obtain information regarding controversies in the identification and management of those patients.

The contents will be helpful to those who specialize in androgen deficiency and sexual medicine, and also serve as the source of basic information about testosterone replacement therapy and reasoned analysis of the controversies concerning this treatment for aging males. Furthermore, this book will enable physicians and researchers to apply evidence-based knowledge to the evaluation and treatment of men with testosterone deficiency syndrome.
