It needs a lot of motivation, initiative and untiring efforts to write a book in spite of a busy consulting practice. The author really needs deep appreciation for coming out with this marvelous work.

The book is well conceived and well delivered. The information is presented concisely and comprehensively in the form of tables, bullets and flow charts; the language is simple and lucid. Such a presentation strengthens the retention of concepts and facilitates quick grasping. The book has truly covered essentials in dermatology, venereology, leprology, cosmetology and HIV medicine. Inclusion of chapters on naevi and skin tumors, miscellaneous cutaneous diseases including psychosexual problems and LASERS add value. More than 600 digital photographs capturing clinical features are simply superb. Hundred line diagrams simplify the complexity of many topics. Primarily the book is meant for undergraduates and those desirous of appearing for postgraduate entrance examinations. Even the beginners in dermatology can start with this book. For practising dermatologists it is a useful hand book. In fact the book can be of help to anybody who is interested in dermatology.

The book will go a long way in unraveling the subject of dermatology.
