The affiliations of two authors in this paper by Matthew Thompson and colleagues (BMJ 2013;347:f7027, doi:10.1136/bmj.f7027) were inadvertently swapped. David I Buckley is assistant professor at the Departments of Family Medicine, Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, OR, USA; and Carl Heneghan is professor at the Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK, rather than the other way round.
